Europium is available as Ultra- high purity ( 99.995%) chloride ( as powder), bromide and iodide as beads. It finds applications as a dopant, activator for scintillators such as strontium iodide and many others. Owing to its optical properties Eu2+ ion is used as a dopant in phosphor materials.
